THE LONG LOST CHILDHOOD GAMES

Image
This shutdown of the hectic life we lived, can open up spaces to a lot of things in our life. Games, for instance, are long forgotten by us and we end up setting an age for playing games. Games are not only played for fun but they teach us alot. Let us take a look back into the games we played in the good old times!   One of my favorite outdoor sports is kabaddi , played between two teams of players. It is played like a sword fight where we use hands instead of swords to touch the players. The basic principle of a sword fight is to deliver a blow without taking one yourself. It prepares us to defend an attack and make use of the right time to win! It also keeps you on the move , which is a good exercise!   When it comes to outdoor games , we cannot forget pandi which is a game played by joyfully but carefully , hopping over squares! It is a good exercise for the body and practically teaches us how to balance. The children can't help squealing with...

MEMORIES

Have we ever thought "How do we save memories in our heart, or technically in the back of our minds?" We cry at those memories.. We laugh at them.. But somehow we hold it dear for the rest of our lives! We cherish the beautiful moments and play it over and over in our minds! What about the bad ones? They voluntarily show themselves up and threaten us while we are helpless.  We can either learn from it ...

Did I really see my mom ??

It is funny, nowadays, how we are scared of feeling bored than being in the company of ghosts. Sometimes boredom takes over your mind that you start imagining things or even witness the unrealistic. There is an amusing phenomenon which goes on within my family, which can be termed as ‘The sightings of my mom’. My grandfather had seen her standing near my bed when he woke up! That was evidently when she was not even staying with us. My mom is an office worker who leaves home, well before I rise and shine!! Sometimes she leaves food , sometimes leaves us to figure it out.       One fine day, I woke up late and had my brunch. Then I sat down with my phone in the dining room itself. After sometime, I saw my mom walking in with her bag as usual but with an unusual silence. She returned to the entrance door after walking past me , just like she was checking on me. I continued my work peacefully and walked upstairs where my sister was. I aske...
