From strangers to friends (part 2)

Walking into one of the rooms made me feel like we were in a deluxe room at a scenic resort. As the houseboat stopped at various corners of the backwaters, we got down to take a stroll. Though it was raining a bit, it was not pouring hard. So I soaked up the gentle breeze, which made the brisk weather even more alluring.. The main event of the day was the speedboat ride, which surprised us with sudden turns and made us laugh in glee. We had to take the ride twice, just to get completely drenched by the water splashing from every side!! Shortly afterwards, we got ready to celebrate Onam Eve in traditional attire. I was dressed in a glam white sari and completed the look with smoky eye makeup. When we took pictures to commemorate this soirΓ©e, the heavenly glow of the setting sun and golden yellow lights from the boat became our backdrop! Once I returned to the room, the ever-changing views of the backwaters and the gentle seesaw of the boat lulled me to sleep. As I woke up hungry...

Have you watched VTV? ' Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa ' was a trendsetter of the year 2010 that was dominated by rom-com movies like 'Mynaa' and 'Madrasapattinam'. I am pretty sure most of us have watched VTV once, if not more times! When I watched the movie in the theater with my mom, I was 17. Does she regret meeting Karthik? Maybe ... Does she regret not leaving with him and living the life of her choice? Maybe ... It is amusing how the story changes when the person narrating it ch...

Guess why the year 2023 was super-special for me? I was turning 30 and I wanted to make unforgettable memories the whole year. When it was my birthday, I took my mom to a five-star hotel and the bill surely made it hard to forget! “Sexy thirty”, as I would like to call it, is a refreshing restart of adulthood. It is the age at which you feel old enough to do what you want and do it without the help of others. That’s why I decided to strike off something from my bucket list, which has been there for a while. By the end of the year, I was planning to visit Goa and party till dawn. 😎🎢 Found a solo travel group —check Packed all the cool and comfy dresses —check Finish everything that is needed before I become unreachable—check All that was left was to board the train to the land of many dreams. “Have you packed everything you need?”, grilled my mom. “I will know if I missed something after I reach”, I smirked. Thus, our journey started with a lot of giggles and gossip. πŸ’• Whe...
