Why Tsundere are the most misunderstood 'deres' in reality

One can classify the characters we see in anime and manga as 'deres'. There are some common personality types that we see - tsundere, yandere, kuudere, yangire and dandere .

Tsundere : They look cold and mean outside , but soft and sweet inside

Yandere : They are gentle and loving at first but end up being obsessive and possessive on their loved ones

Kuudere : They often look unemotional and undisturbed by anything , but can be jovial and loving

Yangire : Yangire are just like Yandere but not motivated by love. They are cute but psycho and can be potentially dangerous!

Deredere : They are quiet and shy, revealing their gentle and confident side only to the right person

Even though Tsunderes look so charming in stories, people with such character are often misunderstood in real life πŸ˜ͺ. Lets have a look on the character aspects of a typical 'tsundere' and what people think of them.

Being quiet : People think they have attitude problem and dont like other people. We forget people can be shy at first and dont like to talk much in general. πŸ™‚

Outspoken : They talk boldly , if need be. People often mistake it as attention seeking and trying to sway the minds of the crowd.

Being nice : A typical character of all tsunderes is misunderstood as flirting at times. Not everyone deserves the kind smile of a charming tsundere!.. πŸ˜‰

Blunt remarks : If they quit playing nice and say things in a straightforward way, someone is always offended and complains like a snowflake. 😐

Conflicting ideas : When tsunderes apologise first after a conflict, they are wrong. If they dont apologise, they lack character. Hmmmm.. 🀨

Playfulness : When a tsundere wants to be playful, they are mostly viewed as silly or brusque. Tsunderes have a fun-loving side which is often hidden or ignored.

Charismatic : Having an undeniable charisma can make tsunderes look vile at times. They get what they want so people are afraid they will snatch their friends and partners like magnets. 😎

I hope tsunderes in real life can get justice for what they are - sweet and caring persons within the cold and mysterious masks they put on.

"Dont judge a book by its cover" is a fitting remark to a tsundere. Tsunderes also can have a painful past or trauma like anyone, which made them feel hostile and closed off from the world.

We should approve of the tsunderes in real life. They have a gentle and lovable inside, which needs to be handled with much care and love. πŸ™‚πŸ’œ

  1. You know it's actually true the Tsundere misunderstood in society but I think it's not right to be mean to everyone all the time. You don't have to act really social, u can still cold but silent from outside. It is said that, instead of saying something mean u should just walk away or remain silent, hurting someone emotionally is bad for mental health.
Idk why they are portrayed charming in Stories, people likes to read more about mean, bullying characters later they criticize it. In real life they are not appreciated.

    1. Its true tsundere are cold and detached from society at first. Then they turn out to be the nice and friendly ones. They are not always mean, their blunt and outspoken personality is misrepresented. The tsunderes in stories always end up being the nice guys in general. Whereas, other deres can be obsessive and dangerous, tsunderes are mostly sweet. 😊
